COVID 19 Response

Friends and volunteers,

Sunrise Cafe staff and board of directors are taking the possibility of an outbreak of COVID 19 in New Haven very seriously.  Based on the best information we have available including advisories from the Governor and the New Haven Department of Health, we have decided to temporarily begin to provide a take away “brown bag” breakfast including a sandwich, granola / breakfast bar, fruit and drink in place of our normal  hot breakfast effective Thursday morning, March 12.

We will continue to provide the “brown bag” breakfast until the risk of infection is past.  We very much value the contributions of staff and volunteers in the preparation of the take away breakfasts and thank you all for your support for the Cafe.

Until we resume normal operations, we need donations of juice boxes, granola / breakfast bars and individual cereal packages.  Donations can be dropped off at the Cafe between 7:30 am and 9:30 am Monday through Friday.
